Caverns is a watercolor using pearlescent paint on black paper. It depicts a section of Carlsbad Caverns. The metallic nature of the paint helps to portray the sparkling essence of the minerals in the formations alongside the intense darkness of the cavern. Each section of the cavern is a portal to a new formation. This artwork won an Honorable Mention Award at the Watercolor Art Society - Houston September Experimental show.
