This mixed media digital illustration was done with pearlescent watercolor elements, then digitally rendered. I looked at several reference pictures of the nebula and noticed the beautiful nightlight glow that the nebula exhibits. I find the resemblance to a butterfly fascinating. The original artwork is a giclee print.
