Eyes of Texas is a watercolor with pearlescent paint on black paper. I was inspired to create this piece on a recent trip to Austin, TX when the bluebonnets were in full bloom. The capitol in this scene mimics the bluebonnet which is the state flower of Texas. This artwork won a Merchant Award at the Watercolor Art Society - Houston Annual Members' Show in October 2024.
